Job Purpose

The Member Technician (Print) plays a vital role in ensuring Real Ideas members and visitors using the Print Facilities receive an amazing experience. The Member Technician (Print) will oversee the maintenance and operation of the Print Studio, ensuring a vibrant, well-stocked, safe, and orderly space, providing induction and workshops for users.

Duties and responsibilities include (please view the role profile for the full list):

  • Facilitating the upkeep of the workshop’s presses, tools, and inventory.
  • Providing training and induction to the print studio, using a selection of print techniques.
  • Envisioning and planning a green and sustainable print studio
  • Work with Real Ideas in the coordination of planning, acquisition, and provision of specialist print resources.
  • Support event/experience delivery and facilitation including set up and take down.
  • Answer general enquiries from members and visitors about print making and the use of studios, Real Ideas and our events and activities and help with orientation.
