City College Plymouth students knock it out of the park!
What started as a group of students coming together on a Friday afternoon to talk about ways to improve the college, became an activist college cooperative called College Roots Cooperative (CRC) where the mission is to support the growth of plants and people.

Cat joined Real Ideas in January 2017 as a Marketing Intern delivering support to Talent Match, a project supporting young people in Cornwall to gain meaningful and lasting employment. "Working as an intern was a great way to get my foot in the door and start my career, I had previously worked in a marketing role but with little progression there so I was glad to find an organisation that could support me to learn new skills and develop" explained Cat.

Avani graduated from university in 2020 with a passion to combat the climate crisis, to be a voice for people who don’t feel heard and with bundles of enthusiasm waiting to be directed towards a goal. Yet Avani soon found herself on Universal Credit as she was unable to find work in the field she desired, despite having a few years of voluntary experience ranging in education, politics and science and conservation.
Meet Guinevere Horroks. Guinevere is currently loving her voluntary role at Cornwall’s Eden Project. And she is on a mission to learn as much as she possibly can about plants and all aspects of gardening with the aim of finding a future job in the gardening world.
Elle Heard is all set to sell her beautiful artwork including cards, prints and other items on Etsy, under her working name: Eleanor Louise Ashton. Elle’s talent lies in her taking inspiration from her travels and her home in Cornwall.
